Develop dedicated engagement and education plans, train the trade and support sales team to secure listings, win new prospective customers in line with strategic priorities
Share AVA targets (activation, visibility, availability) responsibility with the sales team
Identify customers (on-trade, prestige, independent retail) to achieve objectives be it volume or image, create tackle plans in collaboration with sales and brand teams
Develop drinks strategy where relevant, co-develop with global teams training material which is relevant to the UK and roll it out, including relevant tool, rituals, narratives
Come up with and deliver brand education activations for trade and consumers, liquid to lips programmes (festivals, trade shows etc)
Be a spokesperson for the Brands where relevant for trade, consumers, press
Be hands on where required – be behind the bar, lead cocktail making or tasting sessions
TRADE ADVOCACY , NETWORKING AND COLLABORATION
Develop a strong network of supportive trade stakeholders, and trade influencers : integrate into industry community to develop impactful programmes, foster loyalty and infiltrate “core influencers” to transform them into “brand advocates”.
Contribute within own scope to cross functional initiatives such as The Botanist conquest plan, Commercial Excellence roadmap and others
Participate in Brand Ambassador Summits, EMEA forums and other dedicated internal meetings and workshops
Report in Powerpoint and Excel, including photos, numbers of guests, drinks, sales, insights (monthly), contribute to and participate in Global Brand meetings (quarterly)
Gather and share expertise in the category, trends, competition, collaborate with Head of Insights. Provide recommendation based on field learnings and expertise.
Establish proactive and great working relationship with the Brand Managers
A minimum of 5 years of brand development experience in the spirits industry OR 8 years in hospitality ready to step up to become a Brand Ambassador in a dynamic market.
Experience, knowledge and passion for the spirits industry, understanding of drinks culture, trade landscape in the UK
Perfect spoken and written English, ideally native or bilingual.
Excellent communication skills verbal and written.
