Business Account Manager - Prestige and Independent Retail

Job description

You will have the management of Prestige Retail customers, as well as key Southern based Independent Retail  for the complete portfolio of Rémy Cointreau brands in the UK.

  • You will manage the RCUK business with the UK’s Prestige Retailers: Harrod’s, Selfridges, Harvey Nichols, Fortnum & Mason, and Hedonism focusing especially on Louis XIII,
  • You will also manage a number c. 120 key independent retailers and small groups, in the South of the UK, including but not limited to Jeroboams, Milroy’s, Berry Brothers & Rudd,
  • You will maintain and grow distribution of Bruichladdich Whiskies, The Botanist Gin, Telmont Champagne, Louis XIII, Westland, Remy Martin, Mount Gay Rum, Hautes Glaces and the rest of the Remy Cointreau portfolio,
  • You will maintain current customer base, whilst proactively targeting selective new business,
  • You will create activation plans focused on awareness, recruitment and rate of sale aligned to brand objectives, considering investment levels and sales return,
  • You will deliver annual releases and manage allocations of limited availability brands,
  • Deliver consumer, trade, brand and category training sessions across all areas of the brand portfolio,
  • Deliver budgeted volume, value, and rate per case targets with the defined customer(s).
  • You will partner with the Louis XIII team to deliver sales and brand plans within Prestige Retail, with a particular focus on Harrod’s Boutique,
  • You will work closely with other RCUK functions of Supply Chain, Finance and Marketing to ensure the best possible delivery against agreed priorities & targets,
  • You will be responsible for forecasting internally and externally, to always ensure brand availability,
  • You will provide timely and reliable reporting / information on results and developments within Independent Retail Channel and create Joint Business Plans (JBPs) with key customer clusters to ensure sustainable value growth.

Profile

  • You have 3 years minimum prior experience of account management in the On or Off Trade working with premium brands, including a Single Malt Whisky and Champagne,
  • You have a strong understanding of spirits Industry and retail channel market dynamics,
  • You have shown your ability to prepare, implement, and monitor strategic plans with objectives for key customers,
  • You have also an ability to forecast accurately and an attention to detail,
  • You have an entrepreneurial mindset, an eye for new opportunities,
  • Your excellent interpersonal skills to engage & influence a varied customer base will be strong asset.
