Job description
You will be responsible for the profitable development and growth of the Remy Cointreau portfolio in East Africa by the implementation of the commercial strategy.
Based in Dar es Salam, you will have with frequent travel to and from Tanzania, Kenya, Ethiopia, Uganda and other key cities
Team Management and Operations
– You will manage the local team to deliver the successful implementation of the activity plans
Commercial
– You will assist the local partners in developing an effective commercial plan across all brands,
– Build an effective working relationship with our local partners and their sales team in order to maximize sales opportunities and achieve budgeted sales volumes,
– Manage the pricing & availability in OFF-Trade and ON-Trade according to commercial guidelines.
Marketing
– You will be actively involved in the marketing of RC portfolio in accordance with Brand Guidelines and ratification of A&P spent,
– Assist in annual budget preparation in East Africa with our local partners,
– Achieve a monthly review & preview of the marketing activities with our local partners sales & Marketing Manager ensuring the budget is achieved and respected,
– Constantly evaluate each brands strategy and make recommendations to build upon it in order to actively drive the business forward through focus and strategic promotional activities,
– You will build relationships with high end On and Off trade accounts,
– You will have a good understanding of all competing brands by evaluating the competitor’s strategy and pricing in East Africa marketplace,
– You will be representing and promoting the brands at all touch points (RC team, Distributors, Customers)
Reporting
– You will ensure weekly Reporting, monthly reporting (assist in compiling monthly RC marketing report for East Africa, prepare the RC monthly reporting, review brand activators and ambassadors activities reports) and quarterly & yearly reporting
Travel Retail
– You will support the TR team in their operations in East Africa
Profile
– With a Bachelor in Sales & Marketing, you have around 5 years of experience in a similar marketing/sales role gained in FMCG, ideally in the Spirits industry,
– You will bring your ability to work autonomously, you are self-motivated and knows how to take the initiative and work within a small team
– You have good communication, planning and organization skills,
– You are fluent in English spoken & written,
– You have solid IT skills (MS Office and building data bases )
