Job Overview:
As part of Westland Distillery’s leadership team, this role acts as a business partner to management and the larger organization and is responsible for planning, organizing, and managing the finance and IT functions. Finance responsibilities include financial management (regular performance analysis, budget management, financial reporting, production controlling and analysis, accounting and treasury operations) and long-term financial planning and analysis, under the guidance of WBU Financial Controller. IT responsibilities include overseeing the technology requirements of the Distillery and ensuring projects are well executed and aligned with the strategic goals of the brand and RC group. This role will have a team of two direct reports.

Job Responsibilities:
• Manage finance staff, day-to-day accountancy activities, and periodic financial reporting including AR/AP, month-end close, group financial reporting, cash flow, and production controlling.

• Present monthly financial results to local management team and group finance with insightful analysis on performance.

• Supervise IT staff and lead local planning and project implementation. Leverage understanding of business to select solutions that will promote efficiencies across departments. Work closely with RC Group IT and WBU IT teams to build, monitor, and continuously improve IT infrastructure, security, and systems.

• Develop effective partnerships with other members of the leadership team. Support and challenge others to deliver on goals and strategic objectives.

• Lead multiple high visibility projects with responsibility for financial forecasting and reporting key outcomes.

• Drive the dissemination of financial knowledge across the brand to enhance business insight. Work closely with management, operations, and brand teams to identify risk or opportunities and help develop solutions that support business objectives.

• Leverage group financial planning processes and presentations to support strategic decision making and communication of Westland’s vision.

• Manage brand budget/forecast process. Work closely with WBU Financial Controller to ensure alignment with Whisky unit. Monitor performance on a monthly basis; flag material variances and recommend corrective actions to achieve plan.

• Partner with WBU Financial Controller, Commercial Director, and market finance teams to manage forecasted revenues. Provide monthly communication and analysis on market results.

• Align pricing with brand strategies, balance brand building with an analytical approach. Agree pricing with new markets and ensure existing markets are respecting pricing strategy (LTT, price increases, etc.). If not respected, understand why and the corrective actions markets will take. Prepare annual pricing guidelines.

• Ensure compliance with local, state, and federal government reporting requirements and tax filings.

• Design and document procedures and processes to maintain and strengthen internal controls. Ensure group policies and best practices are implemented.

• Evaluate and implement IT solutions that drive new opportunities. Develop and improve reporting systems through automation across tools and processes.

• Collaborate with wide variety of functional departments in US & Headquarters.


Minimum Qualifications:
• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance
• 5-7 years experience
• CPA license
• Strong leadership, communication, and analysis skills
• Expertise in financial and accounting principles
• Attention to detail and demonstrated understanding of the larger business
• Ability to work collaboratively with all levels of employees, management and departments to maximize performance, creativity, problem solving and results
Preferred Qualifications:
• 1-2 yrs people leadership experience
• Experience within CPG or manufacturing environment a plus
